Dome at Community College of Beaver County - Monaca, PA 10/17/2019
Beaver county middle school students and teachers had the opportunity to learn about STEM fields at the Pathways: Connecting Students to Careers event, hosted at the Community College of Beaver County by the Beaver County Energy & Advanced Manufacturing Partnership (EAMP).
The goal of this annual event is to increase awareness and provide an opportunity for students, teachers and administrators to learn about different occupations and career paths in STEM-related advanced manufacturing, energy and construction industries through panel discussions, interactive programs and presentations.
"We believe that this is a model that can be easily replicated in other counties throughout the region," said John Goberish, Dean the School of Industrial Technology and Continuing Education at CCBC.
While STEM jobs, particularly in energy and advanced manufacturing, continue to grow in our region, it is important that students and the individuals that influence their career decisions are aware of the exciting opportunities and in-demand career paths open to them.
